At Borrowed Earth, we believe the most compelling spaces emerge from a deep dialogue between design vision and material response. Our recent collaboration with Tony Ingrao and the team at Ingrao, Inc. brought this philosophy to life across three architectural projects—each one pushing the limits of what stone can do.
We’re proud to share a short film that captures the essence of this creative partnership—from early concepts to final installation.
Project Highlights
Each of the three projects approaches stone in a distinct way—revealing its potential not just as a surface, but as a central character in the design story.

A monumental entry experience defined by tonal gradation, scale, and sculptural rhythm. Here, stone becomes both anchor and guide, shaping movement through space.
A highly detailed, tactile installation where texture, geometry, and movement converge. Designed as an interior focal point, the piece captures both stillness and flow.
Material as Collaborator
Working with the Ingrao team was a process rooted in experimentation and trust. The design team came to each project with clear intent—and remained open to what the material itself could reveal. That space for dialogue allowed us to explore new fabrication techniques, visual effects, and the emotional power of surface.
A Shared Approach to Innovation
This collaboration is a reflection of the kind of work we aspire to: rooted in craft, responsive to concept, and always evolving. We’re grateful to Tony Ingrao and his team for their partnership, and to everyone who contributed to realizing these spaces.
