Ruchika Grover

Ruchika Grover is a Los Angeles based artist and entrepreneur. Her diverse oeuvre, spanning surfaces, sculptures, and installations, combines the complexity of digital fabrication with the humanism of traditional hand-craft. Her choice of subjects reveals an investigation into the wonders of the natural world and establishes a critical commentary on man’s relationship with the inner self.

A mission to streamline sustainable stone design with a new line of precise, hand-finished cuts.

At 14, Ruchika began accompanying her father, a marble and granite trader, on work trips. Her first job was as a block marker, where she would travel with her father’s clients to quarries all over the world and help select materials for them.

The formative experience gave her an inherent understanding of stone and a deep respect for the material. Building with stone today connects us to history. Going back to antiquity, bringing certain aesthetics and values into the modern context — there are few materials that have comparable human dimension and connection.
