Architectonic Series – intersperses the purity of simple architectural forms with these noble materials. Realized in the form of different interpretations of fluted and grooved patterns, the Architectonic series celebrates the timeless, and iconic forms as dimensional surfaces. The deep dimensionality accentuates the inherent characteristic of the material due to the shadows created by it.

It is possible to create immaculate blemish-free tile but it comes at a cost. That cost is the sacrifice of sustainability. The traditional process, which meticulously selects small, flawless sections from larger stone blocks and discards the remainder—sometimes as much as 80%—is a narrative we at Borrowed Earth choose not to author.
