At its core, the project reflects a shared belief in design that supports the way people live, without compromising on beauty or material integrity.
A Collaboration Rooted in Craft and Connection
From the earliest conversations, the design intent was clear: create a space that feels timeless, tactile, and deeply personal. Studio KC brought an approach grounded in thoughtful planning and human-centered design, while Borrowed Earth and ABC Stone provided a rich material palette that celebrates natural variation and craftsmanship.
The result is a seamless integration of stone, light, and form—where texture becomes both visual and emotional language.
The Materials
Each surface in the bathroom tells its own story through natural stone:
-
Weave Tile in Travertine Beige — forms the sculptural feature wall, bringing a rhythmic, tactile quality that softly reflects light.
-
Flutes Convex in Crema Limestone — adds subtle dimension and warmth.
-
Moire Tile in Crema Limestone — creates gentle visual movement across the space.
-
Field Tile (Honed) in Travertine Beige — grounds the design with a soft, natural finish.
Together, these materials strike a balance between texture and tone—anchoring the space in warmth while maintaining a refined, contemporary sensibility.

Aging in Place, Reimagined
Designing for longevity often calls for restraint and sensitivity. The goal was not to make the space feel “accessible,” but to make it feel effortless—where every choice, from lighting to layout, contributes to both comfort and independence.
The resulting suite is not only highly functional, but emotionally resonant—a place that feels restorative, grounded, and quietly luxurious.
A Shared Vision
Through close collaboration between designer, fabricator, and material partner, the project celebrates what’s possible when design and craftsmanship align. Each decision was guided by the belief that natural materials can tell a story far beyond their surface—one of connection, care, and intention.
