Sergio Mercado envisioned a panel that captured the tactile elegance of carved stone—something he often sought but rarely found. Through a serendipitous collaboration with ABC and Borrowed Earth, Astradia took shape—not as a pre-determined plan, but as a fluid, organic evolution of form and surface.

Inspired by the irregularity of cracked stone, the designs embrace randomness and asymmetry. One version features fluted lines reminiscent of rubble masonry while another plays with textured overlays for a raw, abraded surface. A third version pushes and pulls dimensional shapes, creating a sense of depth and quiet monumentality.

Astradia is a study in texture, form & restraint — where architectural language meets the expressive potential of stone.
